CPIM or Diploma of Business Operations Management

The APICS body of knowledge has been the standard of excellence in supply chain management for many years and is available to study in two formats with apics SA.

 

Certified in Production & Inventory Management (CPIM) and Diploma of Business Operations Management teach students critical skills in design, operations and control systems for the manufacture and distribution of products and services.  Both course options are ideal for those who wish to support their experience with a recognised qualification, whether it be the APICS industry certificate or the Australian Diploma option for completing the course.

Basics of Supply Chain Management

 
The Basics of Supply Chain Management workshop provides a basis for individuals and organisations to evaluate their knowledge of production and inventory management against a global standard.  
 
This workshop can be completed as a broad-based stand-alone course or the first step to completing the CPIM or Diploma of Business Operations Management.

Master Planning of Resources

 
The Master Planning of Resources module examines both supply and demand planning for mid to long-term independent demand.  Major topics include demand management, sales and operations planning and master scheduling.  Both priority planning and capacity planning issues are addressed.
 
In this module, candidates explore processes used to develop sales and operations plans; identify and assess internal and external demand and forecasting requirements; and gain an understanding of the importance of producing achievable master schedules consistent with business policies, objectives, and resource constraints. The module focuses on developing and validating a plan of supply, relating management of demand to environment, and developing and validating the master schedule.
